Currently working with over 80% of local authorities in England in the provision of services to the children’s social care and safeguarding sector it is an exciting time in our development; following the retirement of one of our team we are seeking to appoint a part time ‘Social Care Procedures Lead Consultant’ with the specialism of providing legal support and advice as part of the role. The successful candidate will support us in raising standards within practice and improving outcomes for service users.

Part time – 3 days per week - Based at our Coventry office, with flexibility to also work from home.
£36,787 - £39,547 per annum pro rata.
Reporting to the Director of Signis (Content and Delivery) in the development of new, and the updating, of procedures manuals content, the Lead Consultant will provide legal advice in relation to the provision of policies, procedures and other related material delivered by tri.x
In addition to working within a people focussed and flexible team we offer very competitive remuneration package, including 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays), increasing to 36 days (per annum pro rata) with length of service.
You will be responsible for working with customers to develop and maintain their procedures manuals, managing the business relationship, ensuring that contracts are delivered professionally according to specified requirements. This role will also provide legal advice in relation to the provision of policies, procedures and other related material delivered by tri.x.
You will need to establish a close working relationship with strategic and operational managers in customer organisations so excellent communication and negotiation skills are essential. You will also need to be clear thinking, well organised and able to work to tight deadlines and changing priorities.
You will possess recent experience within the Children’s / Adults social care sector at Management level and should have a good understanding of social care and safeguarding legislation and statutory guidance along with a commitment to good practice.
The Successful Applicant
- Experience of formulating, developing and writing policies and procedures.
- Possess an in depth understanding of children and adults social care; along with a good understanding of UK legislation, policy and frameworks within children’s social care.
- Will have a degree in Law and relevant post-qualification experience.
